Very calm, sinister, and a highly intelligent individual. Proud to a certain degree, and very cruel. He has been referred to by mortals, by many names throughout the ages: the Master of Arms, the Lord of Steel, the Black Blade, the Instrument, the Sword that Pierced the Sky, and the Broken Blade. Before he fell, when he had his place among the divines, he served under Ot Khorkhoi, and he would provide the means to wage war. Tso-Lan was revered as a master of sorcerous weaponsmithing. His creations would see battlefields amongst the mortal kind, as well as divine. After a long time of serving under a greater divine he eventually became tiresome, and he sought the means to rid himself of those that thought themselves above him. When not serving, he spent ages in the great libraries of the gods, fabricating a grand design for the gods' fall. His design was known as the Tiān Jiàn (the Celestial Sword). A weapon of such power, that it could cause extinction-level events to mere mortals with one swing, and a weapon that could slay gods in droves where they stood. His focus changed to the construction of this weapon, but it needed to be kept secret. He forged this weapon at the heart of the moon. The gods eventually noticed his absence, grew suspicious, and began to search for him. He knew that they would come for him eventually, curious as to his absence from his duties. So he hid himself with wards that would block their sight. In time his weapon was ready and he planned on testing it first on those that he had no care for. The mortals. He fled his warded stronghold within the moon, and descended to the earth, ready to bring doom to the filth that plagued this world. He began the ritual summoning of this weapon, and the moon began to crack and split in two. It was not long until the gods learned of his location, and they appeared before him to put an end to his plans. He was not yet in possession of his weapon, but still held his own against his would-be captors. While several gods fell before his blade, he was eventually arrested where he stood. After much deliberation, the decision was made by the Court of the Shénxué (the Court of the Divines), that Tso-Lan was to be sealed for trying to summon the Tiān Jiàn (the Celestial Sword). He was was broken into nine-thousand-nine-hundred-and-ninety-nine pieces of steel, and scattered amongst the earth. The Tiān Jiàn was once again sealed inside of the moon, and the moon restored. In time, mortals would begin to come upon the pieces of steel that Tso-Lan was imprisoned in. When they discovered that the material would not be worked, and that it was magical in nature, they would set it in the hilts of swords, or within the seats of lords. His influence being felt by those that possess him. ask/tso_lan.txt Last modified: 2019/03/11 14:48by khellmg
